Wow! You are right, you just need to get used to it and eventually everything will just be easy for you, especially the longggg hours of bus rides! Thanks Nigel! I appreciate your time in reading my article. Happy travels!!!! :)

Hey Mia! number 4 and number 5 are so true for me 4 - I'm still learning to differentiate between my needs and wants! 5 - a 12 hr bus ride is nothing now. I spent 5 months in india and everything there moves so much slower and took a lot of getting used to.

Like u... I gave up shopping except if itd running shoes my other life after travel. I dont confront with gadgets anymore. I agree with patience! Booking will require a lot of patience then the itinerary then the hotels and all. Ohwell, its a life we love to do. a routine with different path and leanings. Good job

Hi Mia,
5 is the truth! Patience has been my buzzword since hitting the road almost 4 years ago. I grew up in New Jersey, where patience has largely gone extinct lol ;) But by focusing on this word, and this concept, I've embraced the slow pace in places here like Bali, and in Thailand, and throughout the world. Turns out, many people aren't in a rush at all and you can adjust to their pace and enjoy the ride all that much more.
Keep on inspiring and all the best with the contest Mia!
Ryan
