Is that right? Cozee Monkey and Lion's Den are at the same address?

I'm sorry but you have missed out Pension Natividad in Manila. Affordable rooms, a lot of backpackers (local and international) come here + the food is absolutely delish! This happens to be one of the pioneers of the hostel industry in Manila, I don't know why they are not on your list... most of these suggestions are way too expensive to be classified as a hostel, but hey, maybe it's your own marketing strategy. Cheers Mate.

In reply to Bill Collings. There is actually a vast number of places to choose from in Manila. We'll try to find more cheap but decent places to stay and might add them to this list. Thank you Bill! :)

I might sound old fashioned or Kuripot but all five of these hostels seem too expensive or over priced to be considered hostels. When I think of budget accommodations in S.E. Asian countries I think of rates from $5 to U$20+

Great list. Try Crossroads Hostel Manila in Mandaluyong City.
